The Light-Up Laconia Holiday Decorating Competition promotes holiday and community spirit through a friendly decorating competition for residences and local businesses.  Citizens and Businesses are encouraged to decorate their homes and business locations to showcase their holiday cheer and outshine their neighbors.  Vote online for your favorite participating residence and business location between December 1, 2024 and December 24, 2024 to choose a winner. Winners will be announced on December 29th.

PARTICIPATION:

Categories (winners determined by online voting):

• Clark Griswald - Unique design and creative use of lights and decorations - the display you can see from outer space!

• Themed - Story line or scene

• Traditional - Display and placement of decorations - light display that captures the classic Christmas motif.

• Rookie - Creativity as a first time participant 

• Best Business - Pick the decorations for your favorite business

Each participant will have an official Light-Up Laconia outdoor sign posted to identify them as part of the competition. (if you registered, you will receive your sign before December 4th. Online public voting will be open until December 24, 2024 with one vote per person.
