LIGHTS FESTIVAL HOLIDAY PARADE

The Holiday Parade, sponsored by Service Credit Union, will kick-off the Celebrate Laconia Lights Festival and holiday season for the City of Laconia. This year, we will have a "reverse" Holiday Parade with decorated cars and floats that are COVID-19 friendly and safe to join in the rolling fun!

What is a "reverse" Holiday Parade? Traditionally,

jolly ol' Santa comes at the end of the parade. This

year, will be leading the parade through the City - and

he might even come right through your neighborhood!

As he passes through town, this will prompt Laconia

businesses, organizations and community members

to turn on their holiday lights and “Light-Up Laconia!”

When you see him, turn on your lights and show your

holiday spirit!

The Holiday Parade will take place on Sunday,

November 29 at 4:30p. Beginning in Downtown, it will

travel through Lakeport, into Weirs Beach and then

ending back in Downtown. Upon returning to Downtown, the City on the Lakes Holiday Walk will be lit for all to enjoy for the season.

There will be no congregating of groups to watch the parade in Downtown at any point prior, during, or after as there is no official tree lighting ceremony this year due to the pandemic.

You can view from anywhere along the route and stay safe with your family and friends. The parade route can be viewed here (or continue scrolling and find it below) to help you find a good place to watch. Join us from the comfort of  your living room! The parade will also be broadcast live with our favorite holiday emcee, Pat Kelly - courtesy of  the wonderful folks at Lakes Region Public Access! The live broadcast can be streamed at http://vod.lrpa.org or watch it locally on Atlantic Broadband channel 25.

As this is a traveling parade, the guidelines for participation have changed than that of prior years. Please read the updated guidelines here

Social distancing and COVID-19 precautions will be very important to keep everyone safe and healthy this holiday season. We request people wear masks during these community outdoor events. Please check back on this page for any changes that might occur due to changes in COVID-19 guidelines.
