The Holiday Parade, will kick-off the Celebrate Laconia Lights Festival and holiday season for the City of Laconia.  

The Holiday Parade will take place on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at 4:30pm. We will have food trucks, music and activities from 12pm-8pm. Come join us and share your holiday spirit. Following the parade the trees will be lit for the City on the Lakes Holiday Walk to be enjoyed for the season. 

This years parade will be a traditional walking parade only. The parade will begin promptly at 4:30pm from the Laconia High School. The parade will proceed down Union Ave and turn onto Church Street, head down main street, and ending in Stewart Park for the Annual tree lighting.  Click here to view the Holiday Parade route.

Come join this year's Holiday Parade! Apply to enter a float, band, walkers, or car. We encourage anyone to participate. Just sign up using the Holiday Parade Application Form below. Registration is free unless you choose to enter the Float Contest. Click here for parade guidelines.




We are pleased to announce that we will be having a float contest again this year! There will be an entry fee of $50 per float. You can have a float and not participate in the contest.  If you participate you will need to display a sign designating your contestant entry number provide by Celebrate Laconia on your float for the judges to see. Designate on your application that you would like to enter the contest by checking the box. There will be prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place floats. You can view from anywhere along the route and stay safe with your family and friends.  Please refer to the parade route to help you find a good place to watch. Join us from the comfort of your living room! The parade will also be broadcast live with our favorite holiday emcee, Pat Kelly - courtesy of the wonderful folks at Lakes Region Public Access! The live broadcast can be streamed at or watch it locally on Atlantic Broadband channel 25.
